Root Cause: DXVA Private decryption was previously done in the kernel mode driver which requires an escape down from the user mode driver. Microsoft has decided to use the private encryption for their Fiji MCE player and noticed that when encrpytion is activated the decode times take significantly longer. This was found to be due to the length of the escape between UMD and KMD, which involves the OS. To get around it encryption was moved to the UMD.

Root Cause: Playing a DVD w/ subtitles enabled w/ Media Player causes frame drop. App continuously creates/free resolution size buffers. Creating these in aperture segment causes frame drop. Its believed to be due to OS bottle neck in a core OS function, ProbeAndLockPage(). Moving the buffers to fixed segment side steps the bottle neck, improving performance.

Root Cause: Cyberlink application has a lot of transparencies which causes the OS to break up present into > 64 subrectangles. Code had not been tested in this scenario and was not behaving properly. Root Cause: Upon entering D3 state, driver saves the HW state and then calls the policy handler to disable all PC features. Upon resume RS HW state is restored but RS policy remains inactive since it is not reset by mode or display configuration event. When UMD DxVA sends notification to disable RS, no action was taken since the policy sees it in inactive stage --> RS remains enabled --> LRI/AVC/VC1 hang issue. Remove policy handling of RS in power down since it is not mode or display configuration dependent.

Rootcause:the conditions for " PriRotaed" abd " SecRotated" was not supporting in case when rotation is changed from 0 to 90/270 degree. Fix:removed the variables used earlier to track the rotation of primary and secondary and intercahing the X and Y resolution.T The variables were used only in Exteded desktop case and the variables were not serving the purpose in case of the orientation changed. Condition is modified by adding " ROTATION_90" and " ROTATION_270" for interchanging X and Y resolution in case of setting the position.

Root Cause: When the application disables an index buffer, the D3D component of the driver needs to notify GHAL3D that the index buffer is disabled. If it doesn't do this, GHAL3D will put this stale allocation handle for the index buffer in the command buffer allocation list. This will cause RenderCb to fail if the application has also deleted the index buffer resource before the next draw call and hasn't bound a new index buffer in its place.

Root Cause: The issue is that before applying the mode added through VBT 960*600, user sees refresh rate as 60HZ(when display is not active) but after applying the mode sees as 59Hz. This is happening because in modemanager in addvbtmodes() we calculate DTD timings from which we get RR as 59HZ, user has set it as 60HZ. So we over ride the timing obtained from VBT over the DTD timing for RR. This was causing the Issue. Now we used the DTD calculated timings instead of the RR rate obtained from VBT.

Fix Description: Move calling ProcessScissorRectangleAnDirectDraw*ingRectangle() to place where GL context updates its data from drawable data. Update implementation of blt in cltSrvLddm. window description is read from drawable description.

Root Cause: When adaptive deinterlacing is used, planar is converted to packed before other post processing steps occur, which means that the temp buffer used for ProcAmp when adaptive DI is used is formatted for packed content. However, when adaptive DI cannot be used for some reason and BOB is forced on (for example, if there's a frame drop), the same temp buffer is used for ProcAmp however since planar is NOT converted to packed during BOB, there is a mismatch between the format that the temp buffer for ProcAmp expects to recieve (packed) and what it actually does recieve (planar). Add an additional temp buffer specificially for planar content to be used with ProcAmp when BOB is used.

Root Cause: This issue is happening because of the Cache Coherency issue with the surface states that we program in GhalD to achieve rotation. HW will do 64 byte fetches. Currently Surface State structure is 32 byte aligned. Issue Resolved: Changed the Surface State structure to make it 64 byte.

Root Cause: In one of the DTM tests, the destination region was really small (pitch=512). So, the U and V plane widths were 256 and is less than that of the size of the X tile (512). So, the V-plane start address was getting set to be the same as the U plane address and the X-offset for V plane was getting set to 256. On gen3.5, the offset needs to be added to the base address during surface state programming.
